hundred students attended the event, which featured a variety of activities including
music, challenge games, food, beverages; and prizes.
Several more Friday Fun Nights are being planned for th/s school year. They will be held
from 6-8 p.m. at the Laurel Middle School.
February 28, 2003- concurrent actMties will include a hattie of hands featuring 6
local groups, a movie, board games and a Ping-Pong tournamem. Food, beverages
and prizes will also be provided.

Research indicates that giving studems a sense of being cormeCted to their school and
teachers outside of the regular school day reduces the incidences of discipline and
enhances the student's performance in s:hool.
