OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS PKESENT: Mayor Bud Johnson Mary Embleton Larry McCann Steve Klotz Matt Erekson Jean Kerr Rick Musson Joel Barnhart Jan Faught Committee of the Whole · Steve Klotz and Cai Cumin to address Entryway Zoning and Sign Code ordinances tonight · Morrison-Maierle scheduled to give second presentation of Wastewater Facilities Plan Seliool zone ordinance · Discussion regarding 15 mph school zone on state highway - 1~t Avenue · Council may need additional background information Fire Department · Questions regarding the dollars contributed by the city versus the fire districts Buildino maintenance · Discussion regarding availability of extra state flags · Discussion regarding who is responsible for building maintenance Ordinance on iurisdiction of police officers · Concept of extending the jurisdiction of the police officers to five miles out of the city limits · Question whether it was already done · Matt will do further research and present it at the council workshop on August 27~h. Classes on supervision · Dick Larsen will present classes on supervision · Six consecutive Wednesday mornings - 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - beginning September 25m and ending October 30t~ Intake update · Les Riddle traveled to Three Forks today to pick up the bladders that will be used to diver~ the water at the intake. Garbage oickuo · Garbage track (sideloader) required repairs today · Garbage service is four hours behind but will be completed with four hours overtime Department Head minutes of August 20, 2002 Anele harking · Steve will present a resolution for angle parking at the council workshop on August 27th. · Angle parking resolution for September 3~ council agenda Agenda deadline change · Public hearing on agenda deadline change scheduled during council meeting tonight WRDA Grant · Advertisements for bids for pumps this week · Bid closing is second week in September · Two projects: Diversion of intake; New intake City Surplus Auction · Will be scheduled during first part of September · Items need to be declared as surplus via resolution before sold Sand house building · No response from the State · Selling for $72,000 Certified Mill value · Certified mill value decreased because of adjustments after process of tax appeals · Biggest drops in values were gas and electric line values and telecommunication line values · Mary is researching the issue.
