The Department of Administration, Local Government Services Bureau, in conjunction with the
Governmental Audit Committee of the Montana Society of Certified Public Accountants, will be
conducting training seminars covering specific GASB #34 topics at various locations throughout
the State in October. Topics for the October seminar will include Modified Accrual vs. Full
Accrual Accounting/Cash Flow Reporting. A portion of the seminar will be a hands on work
session, please bring a pocket calculator.
We would appreciate it if you would make this seminar information available to other entity
officials and department heads. You are also invited to bring any other questions or concerns to
the seminars.
A list of seminar locations and dates is attached. Please return the enclosed registration form to the
Helena office by October 11, 2002. Starting time for all seminars will be 9:00 a.m, and we will
finish around 4:00 p.m. Our address is:
