Whether you believe it or nor, we want your iupm, participation, planning thoughts and expertise! The Yellowstone County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is conducting a tabletop exercise on October 2, 2002 at 2:00pm at the Billings Clinic Conference Center, Rooms 1 & 2 (basement) to discuss that very topic and you and your agency are invited. (However, due to limited space would you limit your participants to two per agency). Many disciplines such as law enforcement, fire, medical, emergency services, industry, utilities, governmental agencies and the media are invited to participate, learn and be better prepared. Although a terrorist type activity may be low on the likely hazard scale for this area, discussions and planning for it can be applied to all hazard preparedness activities. Some subject topics for discussion and for you to contemplate are: · "What is my role and responsibility at each threat level?" · "What resources does my agency have to commit?" · "Who commands such an incident?" · "What is expected of the public?" We are planning about three hours for this exercise. The Chairman of the Commissioners, the Mayor and I would appreciate it if you could attend and participate in such a worthy th caUse. Please RSVP to the DES. office at 2¢6-2775 by SePt 20,2002 go we can plan appropriately. Refi'eshments will be provided by ExxonMobil. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
