2003-2004 Budget process · Budget/Finance Committee discussed development of a budget schedule for next year's
budget.
· Proposed changes were explained.
· Each section of the budget will include a simple and concise explanation of the goal.
· Fixed number of department head presentations to the council.
· Primary goal is to adopt the budget earlier.
· 2002-2003 Final Budget is on tonight's council agenda
Council Workshop - Saturday, August 3ra · Council gave direction regarding proposed rate increases in the Enterprise Funds.
· Discussion regarding a Park Maintenance District and the Street Maintenance District.
· Council Work Plan will be updated.
Committee of the Whole - August 6th
· Budget presentation - Mary
· Sign Code and Entryway Zoning District - Cal
· Request to set a public hearing for a zone change - Cai
Letters of Appointment · Letter is not needed for reserves or attendants.
· Letter is needed for regular employees.
Resolution No. R02-57 - sale of lots in Allard Subdivision
· Resolution needs to be changed from Lots 18 and 19 to Lots 19 and 20.
Advertisements for attorney positions · Advertisements in newspaper on Wednesday
· Two attorney positions advertised: prosecution services and legal services
Decrease of taxable value · Department of Revenue informed Mary that research is being done to make certain that
the taxable value is correct.
· Final changes from appeals and corrections will be mailed next week.
· Central assessed properties that had intangible value decreased statewide.
· Increased taxable values were due to new business construction.
The meeting adjourned at 3:14 p.m.
