Box i0 Laurel, MT 59044 Dear Mayor Johnson: After review of the revised Community Entry Zoning District Ordinance, I wish to restate our continued opposition to the ordinance in its entirety. We continue to feel that the ordinance is too restrictive, and more importantly, singles out the Laurel business community both present and future in its regulation. The ordinance would have the possibility of deterring new business from moving to Laurel, a possibility that we find unacceptable. Concerning the proposed Laurel Municipal Sign Code, while having continued concerns about the ordinance as proposed, would object in particular to the verbage referencing all monument signs located in the Entryway Zoning District must be turned off at midnight (page 5) as totally unnecessary and restrictive. Also object to the specific restrictions subject to interpretation concerning portable signs and banners that for signage purposes are temporary in nature. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, James M. Taylor Vice President JT:bs P.O. Box 7 12 FIRST AVENUE (400) 628-7951
