February 3, 2015
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was held in the
Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Mark Mace at 6:30 p.m. on February 3, 2015.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Emelie Eaton Doug Poehls
Bruce McGee Richard Herr
Chuck Dickerson Scot Stokes
Tom Nelson Bill Mountsier
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: None
OTHER STAFF PRESENT: Jan Faught, Ambulance Director
Mayor Mace led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag.
Mayor Mace asked the council to observe a moment of silence.
MINUTES:
Motion by Council Member Dickerson to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of
January 20, 2015, as presented, seconded by Council Member McGee. There was no public
comment or council discussion. A vote was taken on the motion. All eight council members present
voted aye. Motion carried 8-0.
CORRESPONDENCE.
COUNCIL DISCLOSURE OF EX PARTE COMMUNICATIONS.
PUBLIC HEARING.
CONSENT ITEMS:
• Claims for the month of January 2015 in the amount of$540,120.94.
A complete listing of the claims and their amounts is on file in the Clerk-Treasurer's Office.
• Approval of Payroll Register for PPE 01/18/20150 totaling $166,937.43.
• Receiving the Committee/Board/Commission Reports into the Record.
--Budget/Finance Committee minutes of January 20, 2015 were presented.
--Cemetery Commission minutes of January 13, 2015 were presented.
--Council Workshop minutes of January 27, 2015 were presented.
--Library Board minutes of September 9, 2014 were presented.
--Library Board minutes of October 14, 2014 were presented.
--Library Board minutes of November 11, 2014 were presented.
The mayor asked if there was any separation of consent items. There was none.
Motion by Council Member Eaton to approve the consent items as presented, seconded by
Council Member Poehls. There was no public comment or council discussion. A vote was taken on
the motion. All eight council members present voted aye. Motion carried 8-0.
CEREMONIAL CALENDAR: None.

REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: None.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION (THREE-MINUTE LIMIT): None.
SCHEDULED MATTERS:
• Confirmation of Appointments.
Laurel Ambulance Service:
Mayor Mace appointed Sue Leuthold and Tommi Montana to the Laurel Ambulance Service.
Motion by Council Member Poehls to approve the Mayor's appointments of Sue Leuthold
and Tommi Montana to the Laurel Ambulance Service, seconded by Council Member Nelson.
Ambulance Director Jan Faught introduced Tommi Montana, who also volunteers for the Park City
Ambulance Service. Jan stated that Sue Leuthold has been a crew member for several years, but
took some time off and now wants to volunteer again.
There was no further public comment or council discussion. A vote was taken on the motion. All
eight council members present voted aye. Motion carried 8-0.
• Resolution No. R15-07: A resolution approving Amendment No. 2 to the previously
adopted Task Order No. 26, authorizing Great West Engineering to provide additional
services relating to the new Water Treatment Plant Intake for the City of Laurel.
Motion by Council Member Herr to approve Resolution No. R15-07, seconded by Council
Member Poehls. There was no public comment or council discussion. A vote was taken on the
motion. All eight council members present voted aye. Motion carried 8-0.
ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA: None.
COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS (ONE-MINUTE LIMIT): None.
COUNCIL DISCUSSION:
Council Member Nelson will be absent from the council meeting on February 17th
The Cemetery Commission will meet on Tuesday, February 10th, at 5:30 p.m. in the council
chambers.
Council Member Dickerson will be out for the next six weeks.
The Public Works Committee will meet on Monday, February 9th, at 5:30 p.m. in the council
chambers.
UNSCHEDULED MATTERS: None.

Motion by Council Member McGee to adjourn the council meeting, seconded by Council
Member Eaton. There was no public comment or council discussion. A vote was taken on the
motion. All eight council members present voted aye. Motion carried 8-0.
There being no further business to come before the council at this time, the meeting was adjourned at
6:39 p.m.
