Meeting called to order at 1900 by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were Bob Sparauagle,and Bill Brennan.
Guests present were Randy Pfieffie and Craig Canfield.
Minutes of previous meetings were approved as read.
Bills were presented and approved.(listed separately)
The Airport dedication will be concurrent with the E.A.A. annual fly-in on June 8.
We have ordered an outdoor bulletin board and hope to have it in use soon.
Still working on a web site.
Approved fire protection contract with City of Laurel. $934.00
Chairman Smith gave a financial report. These figures are approximate.
Operating funds $68,290.00. Constructin funds $69,124.00.Constmetion remm $26,000.00.
Craig canfield reported that construction on phase Il(reconstruction of existing taxiways and
construction of new taxiways in future hangar area on the east end.) Should begin in mid May
and take approximately 35 days. Edge drains on all taxiways will cost an additional $26,000
(only $2,600 to us) and were approved.
The bid has been awarded to J.T.L. for $618,594.00.
Discussed new automated Unicom radio with weather condition reporting. Recommended by
F.A.A..Expensive.
