ORDINANCE AMENDING CBAPTER 6.04.040 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO ANIMAL WASTE.
WHEREAS, changes have been recommended to bring the Laurel City Code into
compliance with state laws; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the residents of the City of Laurel to pass such an
ordinance;
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that the
LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE is hereby amended as is set forth below.
Chapter 6.04.040 shall be amended as follows:
6.04.040 Animal Waste.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or by
imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and
imprisonment, all as provided in Section 1.36.010 of the city code. (Ord. 988,
1991: Ord. 985,1991)
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City
council and approved by the Mayor.
