Investments Partnerships (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs,
USDA Rural Development, and Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) are scheduled.
This will not be the same old workshop; the format has changed. New sections addressing hot topics
that affect housing project applications, such as energy-efficient and cost-effective construction,
market studies, appraisals, fair housing and lead based paint have been added. In addition, real life
projects that were submitted„ detailing things that were done correctly and some of the things that
were not done so well, will be reviewed. I encourage you to attend one of the workshops to learn
about updates and changes in the various housing programs and attend the breakout session of your
choice for all types of housing activities.
Pre-registration is required. Please call Patti Buckingham at 444-0092 to pre-register for the
workshops. For those of you planning to stay for the Consolidated Plan Public Input meeting on the
first day of each workshop, lunch will be provided.
