Police:
ChiefMusson reported that he is still looking into the motorcycle patrol program. Rick
stated that Officer Jay Hatten will start as School Resource Officer tomorrow, 8-28-01.
Dan Dart said that he would help with the SRO/COPS grant.
Fire:
Chief Terry Ruff reported on correspondence from Bruce Barrett, District Maintenance
Manager, that highway marker 439-7 to 439-5 will be set up for an emergency services
vehicle turnaround. Terry also reported that some Montana cities have received grants
from FEMA and DNRC and is hopeful that LVFD will be a recipient. ChiefRuffstated
that the grants, in part, were for protective clothing.
Ambulance:
Jan reported that she was unable to locate the mannequins donated by MRL. Jack
Gabrian said that he would try to help locate them. Jan stated that she will need to get
together with the budget and finance people because of unexpected expenses for
ambulance tires and windshield. Jan also reported on the Medical Director process and
discussion followed. Jan stated that EMT classes start Sept. 10. The committee
requested tlmt Jan invite Ambulance Director Bob Brown from Livingston to the next
meeting.
There was no further business and the meeting was adjourned.
