CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

Fire Chief Terry Ruff received the fire protection contract back from the Yellowstone Boys and Girls
Ranch.
Police ChiefMusson stated that he would be out of town for a while during the month of May.
Lauren Van Roekel mentioned that barking dogs are becoming a nuisance now that the weather is warmer
and windows are left open. He encouraged people to approach their neighbors to find a solution to the
problem.
Mary Embleton will be working on her treasurer's certification at the Clerks Institute in Billings next
week. Mark Mace, Bud Johnson, and Gary Temple will attend the Elected Officials Workshop on
Thursday and Friday, May l0th and 1 lth.
Dan Dart commended Jan Faught for finding a new medical director for the Laurel Volunteer Ambulance.
Dr. Sara Nyquist, an emergency room physician at Deaconess, has agreed to be the medical director.
Gay mentioned that high water took out part of the dike at the water intake.
The meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
