BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
DECEMBER 16,2014 5:30 P.M.
COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM
MEMBERS PRESENT: Tom Nelson Doug Poehls
Chuck Dickerson
OTHERS PRESENT: Shirley Ewan Mayor Mark Mace
Co-Chairman Nelson called the regular meeting of the Budget/Finance Committee to order at 6:17 p.m. The meeting did
not begin until 6:17 p.m., as there was not a quorum present at 5:30 p.m.
The minutes of the December 2,2014 meeting were presented and approved via motion by Chuck, seconded by Mark,
and passed unanimously.
The Utility Billing adjustments were reviewed by the Committee. Shirley stated there were no unusual adjustments.
The Mayor has reviewed and signed the November journal vouchers. Chuck made a motion to approve the Utility
Billing adjustments and the November journal vouchers. The motion was seconded by Tom. All in favor, motion passed.
The financial statements were not reviewed by the Committee, due to the time crunch. Shirley stated that if anyone had
any questions to bring them forward at the next meeting. Motion was made by Tom to approve the financial statements,
seconded by Chuck. Motion passed.
There were no Purchase Requisitions presented to the Committee.
The Comp/Overtime reports for PPE 12/07/14 were briefly reviewed.There were no questions.
The Payroll Register for PPE 12/07/14 totaling$203,473.70 was reviewed by the Committee. Motion was made by
Doug, seconded by Tom to recommend Council's approval of the payroll register. Motion passed unanimously.
Clerlt/Treasurer's Comments:
Safety Mill Calculation Shirley stated that she has contacted the Department of Revenue,twice,to get the figures for the
cost to property owners for the $926,000,but has not received any answers as of today's date. She will continue to
request the information.
Mayor's Comments:
The Mayor mentioned that something needs to be done in regards to not having a quorum present at these meetings.
Other:
Tom mentioned that the Park Maintenance District has not been removed from the agenda. Shirley stated that
she will make sure it is removed.
For the Next Agenda:
Nothing new has been placed on the agenda for next time.
The next regular Budget/Finance meeting will be on Tuesday,January 6,2015,at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
