Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on November 13th at Beartooth Grill. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President- Christy Williams and chamber secretary- Marcia Hafner. Directors: Monna Rae
Adickes, Heidi Jensen,Tom Latos, Zada Stamper(for Donnie McVee)and Wendy Means. Members: Penny
Corte, Monica Plecker,and Amanda Powell. Guest: Lori Hodges for Graduation Matters.
Christy called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve-Wendy, 2nd-Zada.
The financial report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve-Wendy, 2"d -
Monna Rae.
Guest Speaker - Lori Hodges for Graduation Matters. The school is trying to reach out to the
business community. They are inviting business people to speak in the schools (targeting the 6th
grade), trying to open the students eyes to what is available. They are also looking for volunteer
readers for some of the younger classrooms. A letter will go out in the newsletter.
Old BUSINESS
• Lease on building - The staff will be working on a lease with the city. We have a
meeting with the finance committee to see if the city will approve repairs to the roof.
• Town Ornaments- The ornaments have been checked and are ready to put up. Looks
like we will have enough volunteers.
• Nez Perce Trail Offer - They have offered the informational signs again and help with
installing them. The city has been contacted and will call back with what must be done.
• Annual Meeting - The Annual meeting date was reset for January 22nd. Dinner choices
were voted on and Roast Beef/mashed potatoes and Almond Chicken Fettuccini were
picked. Moved to approve- Monna Rae, 2"d — Heidi. Monna Rae brought up that she will
help with the sound system, so it is better heard in the room.
• New Board Member Nominations - Amanda Powell-Laurel Health & Rehab, Monica
Plecker - Laurel City, and Annie Seaman - Laurel Jaycees have accepted the nomination.
New BUSINESS
• New Members- CKIS Clothing - Breece Anderson & Jody Seyler owners.
• Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new.
• Christmas Open House - Moved to Tuesday, December 16th. Bountiful Baskets has
agreed to cater the food in order to showcase the food in the baskets and to thank us for
the use of the building.
• New Tables - It was voted to purchase two tables to replace the ones lost on the 4th
Moved to approve- Zada, 2nd - Heidi.
• Laurel Lions Club - It was approved to pay the Lions Club $50 to be added to their
Holiday Sign outside of Reece and Ray's. Moved- Monna Rae, rd - Wendy.
• NAMI- NAMI has donated $46 to use for paper products, etc. that they used when they
were having their class in the Chamber building.
• Quarterly Evening Meetings - Monna Rae brought up the idea of quarterly evening
meetings. She would also like to have the reminder of the meetings sent out on Outlook
Calendar.
OPEN FORUM
• LURA - Next meeting is Nov. 17th. At that time, Sanderson Stewart will present an
updated plan for Laurel.

• Ornaments- Up, had a bunch of volunteers. Now we need to take them down on January 4th.

• Lease on Building - Set a date to meet.
• Christmas Open House- December 16th.
