SEPT. 30, 2014 SPECIAL MEETING, SINDELAR HANGER
Meeting called to order @ 19:00 hours by Chairman John Smith
Members present were John Smith, Kyle Albers & Randy Hand.
Approved claims that had been presented. General maintenance items and finalizations
of prior approved expenditures.
Presentation by Craig Canfield regarding land appraisals. All appraisals are done with
exception of Reiter, Ruff and Masonic Temple properties. A request was made for an
easement for the Masonic property in lieu of purchase from the FAA. Ruff appraisal is
pending, negotiations will follow after all appraisals are complete. Was noted that Reiters
thru the fence agreement was good thru at least 2034.
It was requested that the board check with the FAA on the feasibility of converting the
Sindelar hanger to a use other than directly related to aviation. Webber's have outgrown
the building adjacent, and would like to purchase for expanding their manufacturing facility.
Randy Hand made the motion to have Craig Canfield check with the FAA as to the
requirements, and repercussions, of changing the designation for the two properties to
non - aviation use. Kyle Albers seconded and the motion was carried.
Northern Skies has requested that they place two containers adjacent their building for
additional temporary storage. Approval given provided they pay appropriate lease and
paint the units to match their buildings.
Don Schlegemilch gave notice that he would no longer be able to plow snow at night, but
would continue to do so during the day. He has made arrangements with Northern Skies
to train and assign that duty to their personal. Thank you for arranging the transfer, and for
the previous work in working at night.
