HomeMy WebLinkAboutLaurel Airport Authority Minutes 10.23.2012 Laurel Airport Laurel, MT Authority Oct. 23, 2012 Meeting called to order @ 1904 hours by Chairman John Smith Members present were Al Koelzer, Randy Hand, Guest present were Don Schlegelmilch, snow plow operator Minutes of previous meeting read and approved Claims presented and approved Noted that funds would be requested from Quentin Eggart for construction use of porta -potty NEW BUSINESS Noted that Environmental Impact meeting would be held © Laurel council Chambers on 10 -29 -2012 © 7:00 pm. Striping has been completed; modifications of center stripe now make an acceptable repair of taxiway. AWOS was serviced last month and Al Koelzer requested a Migratory Birds alert be added to message. Al Koelzer requested updated e -mail list for notification of hanger owners be assembled Noted that the Kirby lease had moved out of facility Discussed Snow Removal with Don S., and the backup operators in place for early morning plowing including Brent with Northern skies, Mearl Williams, and Don's neighbor having all been briefed on plow operation. • Page 2 Discussed allowing hanger owners to contact plow operators for ramp plowing, hence the prior request for updated e -mail list. Al Koelzer mentioned a plan in progress to promote the upcoming Laurel Aviation and Technology week. More as it develops Noted that Fox lease will not be renewed; lease will be taken over by Ruff. Noted that Web site lease sites available needed updating, some of the spaces shown available are now leased. Meeting adjourned @ 19:55 Randy Hand Default Secretary
