MINUTES OF THE LAUREL CITY - COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
April 4, 1975
A Meeting of the Laurel City- County Planning Board was called to
order by Larry D. Herman, acting Chairman, on April 4, 1975, at 7:30
p.m., with the following members present:
Kenneth Christian (County Representative)
R. M. Williams (County Representative)
Donald Ronan (County Representative)
John Smith (City Representative)
Larry D. Herman (City Representative)
In attendance at the meeting were Leo Kamp, Chairman, Yellowstone
County Commissioners, and Dan Hickey, a staff member of the Yellowstone
County Planning Board.
Discussion of the re- organization and re- appointment of the Laurel
City- County Planning Board was held between the members present. Com-
missoner Kamp indicated that he would appoint the county representatives
prior to the next meeting of the City- County Planning Board.
Mr. Hickey discussed the need of the Board to adopt By -Laws,
jurisdictional maps, and park maps. He also indicated that the
Billings City- County Planning Board would help the Laurel City- County
Planning Board in getting organized. Mr. Hickey pointed out that
there may be a possibility of acquiring federal 701 funds to assist
in the master planning of the Laurel City- County Planning Board.
A letter was read from James Dixon for annexation to the City
of Laurel of the following land, to -wit:
Lots 5, 6, portion of 7, portion of 13, 14 and 15, Block
13 of Hageman Subdivision, Third Filing.
R. M. Williams moved that Mr. Dixon be asked to furnish a plat
and some indication of the intended use of the property and have it
before the Board before the next meeting. Motion seconded by Don
Ronan. Carried by majority vote.
Ken Christian moved that the next meeting be on May 8, 1975, at
7:30 p.m., at Five First Avenue, Laurel, Montana. Seconded by R. M.
Williams. Carried by majority vote.
Commissioner Kamp invited the members of the Laurel City- County
Planning Board to attend the Billings City- County Planning Board
meeting on April 14, 1975, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 605 in the County
Courthouse. Commissioner Whnip indicated that he would appoint the

following members to be the County Representatives on the Laurel
City- County Planning Board, Kenneth Christian, R. M. Williams, Donald
Ronan, and Leo Kamp.
No further business, the meeting was adjourned.
