Cumin Assoc. recommends conditional approval subject to: 1) The ability of the developer to obtain approval of Laurel's City Council to tie into and utilize the water and sewer system. 2) The additional dedication of ten (10) feet along the north edge of Railroad Street aka Shannon Road. This is necessitated by its "collector" classification as found in the Traffic and Circulation Study. 3) A rewriting of the waiver of protest to include water and sanitary sewer lines and include the mention of either an RSID or an SID. 20,000 sq. ft. likely too small to get State sanitarian's approval. Explanation to Mr. Meyers by John MacMartin of future requirements. Motion by Ken Christian, seconded by R. M. Williams, that we conditionally approve subject to satisfaction of conditions 1, 2 and 3 above. Unanimously approved. -1- CASA LINDA SUBDIVISION preliminary meeting to annex as R3 blocks 3 and 4 and block 2 as Rl. Robert Graham suggests he wants to put in duplexes and 4- plexes on north end of blocks and single houses on south end of blocks with provision for off - street parking in multiple housing blocks. Discussion of pros and cons: technically and philosophically, need for multiple type housing in Laurel, basements are not suitable in blocks 3 and L. Leo Kamp suggests reversal of multiples and R1 in Blocks 3 and 4. In this case Mr. McMartin suggests 6- plexes at 9th Street and R1 behind. Board's attitude favorable to proposal. Mr. Graham's next step is to approach Laurel City Council. Robert Graham representing Jerry Klein regarding annexation of West half of Block 8 of NUTTING BROS. SUBDIVISION and rezone it from 11 to R3. Leo Kamp indicates there'is no basis to expect a quarrel between city and council over road maintenance. Board reaction to preliminary proposal favorable. Respectfully submitted, (1Y61.(!; Otto Preikszas Acting Secretary -2 -
