PLAT REVIEW COMMITTEE
March 30, 1977
Meeting called to order at noon at the Laurel Golf & Recreation club
with the following members present:
Kenneth Christian, Chairman
Dr. John Hawley Smith
William Siegel
also present: John MacMartin, Cumin Assoc.
Don Nave
Tony Nave
Arne Deja
Jim Kimmell
Jack Lewis
Purpose of this meeting was to review and make recommendations on
the MONTANA MEADOWS amended plat of Block 4 of the subdivision, to
reduce the size of the lots and provide streets for access.
John MacMartin reviewed the Environmental Assessment; and discussion
was had to suggest improvements in the report to present more factual
data, especially regarding suitability of soils for sewers, wells
for water supply, and supporting letters to confirm some statements
such as school impact, streets, etc.
The plat of the area was reviewed. The new lots appear to meet re-
quirements for this type of subdivision: streets are adequate, services
available.
Dr. John Hawley Smith moved that the plat be recommended for approval
by the Planning Board, seconded by William Siegel, and passed subject
to consideration of:
1) Easement for gas lines to be included on the plat.
2) Desirability of alleys because of the present City of Laurel
garbage service which might be used in the area in the future.
Meeting adjourned at 1:45 pm.
