Avenue on the west, and the city limits on the east, con-
taining Blocks 2, 3 and 4 of Stouffer Subdivision, Blocks

PRELIMINARY HEARING OF #PB 77 -14, LAUREL CITY COUNCIL RESIDENTIAL
MOBILE HOME (RMH) AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE:
Hearing held for the purpose of reviewing an amendment
to the Laurel Zoning Ordinances. The proposed amendment
concerns establishing a Residential Mobile Home District (RMH).
John MacMartin stated that the city has adopted the State
Mobile Home Court Regulations for establishing courts, and
that this RMH zone district would compliment the court
requirements. Jim Worthington of HKM Assoc., Billings,
asked about the following:
1) question on minimum acreage for mobile parks
2) question on density
3) question of minimum site widths
4) question on sidewalks in open areas
5) question on coverage of 50% of lot
6) question on plans and layouts
John MacMartin explained: Density as stated creates better
feeling for design. Suggested stating "mobile homes" per
acre instead of families. Regarding parking on the streets,
etc., perhaps add clause to park recreational vehicles in a
designated area. Minimum size of parks perhaps should be
changed to 2 acres. Ken Christian motioned to continue
hearing until next time, seconded by Tom Bradley. Carried.
The Montana Association of Planners is planning a fall
seminar and workshop entitled, "Law and Land Use Planning,"
on September 29th. Darrell Keck will be attending on behalf
of the Planning Board and the Board of Adjustments.
