June 28, 1978
Special meeting held' June 28th at 7:05 pm with the
following present:
John Hawley Smith, President (City Rep.)
Otto J. Preikszas, Exec. Sec'ty (City Rep.)
William Siegel, Vice Pres. (City Rep.)
R. M. Williams (County Rep.)
James Seaton (County Rep.)
Ed LaPrath (County Rep.)
Tom Bradley (City Rep.)
Kenneth Christian (County Rep.)
absent were: Gerald Shay (Member at Large)
Leo Kamp, Jr. (County Rep.)
Jack Mayes (City Rep.)
also present: John MacMartin, Cumin Assoc., Billings
John MacMartin handed out Community Facilities Report
regarding Water System, Sewage System, Solid Waste Disposal,
Law Enforcement, Fire Department, Laurel City Ambulance,
Health & Welfare, Library, Laurel Schools, Recreation,
Laurel Transportation, and Airport.
No transportation update yet. It is in the process
and should come before the board in August.
Discussion of LUE map.
Bill for Transportation Plan presented to be paid for
with County money from Coal Tax in the amount of $2,000 (money
being obligated for this fiscal year), approved for payment
in August. Also approved payment of $4,000 for partial
completion of Transportation Plan. Approved request for
payment from the State for "701" funds in the amount of
$1,326.07 and $583.33 (City share).
Discussion of SHERIDAN SUBDIVISION exemption from the
EIS.
Discussion of park land value map. Discussion of LUE
developable area (yellow colored portion of map). Motion from
Tom Bradley to base park dedications on $10,000 per net acre
in developable area of LUE map unless the developer /subdivider
can prove actual purchase price, seconded by Kenneth Christian.
Carried.
