CITY COUNTY PLANNING BOARD NESTING
October 14, 1960
Members present - Henry Raiser, Charles Barney, David Murray,H.R.Throm.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman of the City
County Planning Board. The Secretary of the Planning Board was
absent, so no minutes of the previous meeting were read.
Jim O'Brien of Sage Engineers presented three possible plats
for a proposed Sheets Subdivision. After considerable discussion,
it was moved by Barney and seconded by Raiser that the Board go on
record as favoring plan "A" of the three proposed plans. The
motion was carried unanimously.
Mr. & Mrs. Glen Sheets appeared before the Board to express
their views of the three plans. The favored plan "0" which made
a dead end of Woodland Avenue. Their main objection to plan "A"
was that it cut the depth of the lots in Block 3 of the proposed
plat. After considerable discussion, it was moved by Barney and
seconded by Raiser that the Board tentatively approve plan "A"
with either of the following changes:
(a) Sage Engineers were instructed to check into the possibil-
ity of placing a slight curve in Woodland Avenue to permit
greater depth of the lots in Block 3, or
(b) Increase the width of the lots in Block 3 to increase the
area per building site, thereby reducing the number of
lots in Block 3 from ten to eight.
The motion was carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned.
