As of January 1, 2002, there will be two positions open on the Laurel Chamber of Commerce Board of
Directors. To date, there are two nominations to fill these positions. The two directors whose terms are up
have chosen to run for a second three-year tern. These nominees are:
• Sheryl Brester - Cenex Harvest States Cooperatives
• Linda Wedel - Prudential Floberg Realtors
Nominations for President:
• Gary Franklin - Welcome Travelers Motel - current President
Nominations for Vice President:
• Ryan Burrows - Edward Jones Investments - current Vice President
If you would like to nominate others for any of these positions, you may do so by sending the names of
your nominees with five signatures from current Chamber members by November 12, 2001. If new
nominees are received, ballots will be sent out with these additional names to each voting member of the
Laurel Chamber of Commerce.
Debbie Ricci has resigned her position as Director due to illness. Since this position was being filled by
both Debbie and Don Meyers due to a tie during Iasi year's election, Don Meyers will retain the position on
the Board of Directors.
Currently, these directors are serving terms on the Board and will do so for the remainder of their terms:
• Jim Schroeder - SEG Federal Credit Union
• Bob Wiens-First Citizens Bank
• Bryan Wood - Wood's Pow'r Grip
• Bob O'Dea - Yellowstone Bank
• Rhonda Diefenderfer - Laurel Federal Credit Union
• Kathi Pfeifle - First Citizen's Bank IGA Branch (Kati replaced Candi Cerovski when she left the
bank earlier this year.)
• Don Meyers - Montana Dakota Utilities
• Mike Nardella - Nardella & Siems, CPA's - current Past President
After the 10-day notice expires, you will receive a ballot in the mail for your vote on the nominations if any
more are received If there are no further nominations, the Laurel Chamber of Commerce Board of
Directors will seat the nominees as the new Board of Directors for 2002. If more information is needed,
please do not hesitate to contact the office at 628-8105.
