BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
MAY 4, 1999 4:30 P.M.
OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT:

Reviewed and approved purchase requisitions and claims.
Reviewed overtime report for PPE 4/25/99.
Alternate meeting times were discussed. Suggestions were for early Tuesday
morning on council meeting days or on Mondays before council meetings at 6:00
p.m.
Discussed the city's group health insurance and the 8.5% increase in premiums
effective 8/1/99. Mary and Gary will contact other health insurance carriers for
premium comparison.
Adjourned at 5:15 p.m.

The above Life/AD&D rates are current, inforce rates. The medical rates reflect an increase of 8.5%
and are guaranteed for 12 months until August 1, 2000.
Again this year we are able to keep our increase on the medical to less than the inflation rate for
Medical care. Medical trend is running about 1 2-15% per year.
Please sign the enclosed Renewal Terms and Conditions form and return it to my attention.
