In the next few months the Census Bureau will begin releasing the results from Census 2000.
These results will be available in several data products containing valuable information about the
Nation, its people, and its communities. We are enclosing for your reference the following items
describing Census 2000 data products, when they will be available for your community, and how
you can obtain this information:
+ A two-page document illustrating the major census products and their release dates, the
geographic products, "Census 2000 Geographic Product Highlights." In addition to the
products described in these documents, we also will release during May 2001, Census
2000 housing unit counts for all functioning governmental units including states,
counties, county subdivisions (functioning governments in twenty states), municipios,
places, and American Indian and Alaska Native Areas.
+9 Census 2000 data will be available by utilizing the American Fact Finder website at
http://factfinder.census.gov after March 1, 2001.
•A Through the coming months, we will produce and have available a variety of information
and explanatory materials, which will be available from the Denver Regional Office,
about the data releases from Census 2000.

elines regarding the tabulation of data by race and ethnicity, data processing, or other considerations may result in changes to the types of

Islands, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands
(Midway) and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
