BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 15, 1999 7:00 P.M.
OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Chairman Bud Johnson
Chuck Rodgers
Gay Easton
Ken Olson
Mary Embleton
Discussed the time frames for converting to the new computer system. Black
Mountain Software will begin on-site conversion/training the week of October 4th.
Reviewed the newest invoice from ABS. The committee instructed Mary to
request an explanation of the support and restocking changes via motion by Bud,
second by Ken.
Mary announced that the city received the certified mill/taxable valuation from
the state today. She has begun work on completing the worksheets from the
Department of Commerce to determine the number of mills that are allowed to be
levied for each fund.
The committee then made a final review of the budget. After revising the State
Gas Tax and Street Maintenance Districts, the committee declared the budget was
complete. The proposed budget will be introduced at the September 21st meeting
with final adoption slated for October 5th.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on Monday,
September 20th at 7:00 p.m.
