Herman„ at 7:00 p.m., on September 4, 1979• COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Ehrlick Bill Brennan Harold Burns Susan Carter Duane Behm Terry Fink Donald Meyers Ervin Metzger COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: none h INVOCATION: Invocation given by Reverend Ferguson. MINUTES: Minutes of the regular meeting of August 21st approved as presented. Minutes of the special meeting of August 28th approved as corrected. Harold Burns, Terry Fink and Sue Carter were listed as absent, when in fact they were present. Carried. BID OPENING FOR SALE OF ~~g55 CAT LOADER: This being the time and place advertised, bids were opened as follows: S~3~an Anderson' $1,335.Od Adams Brothers Const. 1,000.00 ~ Karen Wyant 752.50 ~ Motion by Alderman Burns to accept .the bid of $1,335.00 from Mr. Anderson, seconded by Alderman Fink. Carried. MAYOR'S COMMENTS: The 1978/80 budget continued until next meeting. The mill is set at $5,202 for this fiscal year. APPOINTMENTS: The following people were appointed to the Laurel Reserve ~ and Auxiliary: John Mitchell Strecker Joy Ann Johnson Ludwig Erlenbach Appointment to the Laurel Police Department: Roger-Odom, probationary appointment for l year DON LENHARDT: Commended police officer Mike Atkinson for the rescue of the Edmonds children from a fire at their home. DON MEYERS: Asked Leon Howe when the black topping was going to get done around here. Date Avenue and 8th Street comes under Schedule II of SID 100. They are testing water and sewer lines now. When this is completed, Barry O'Leary will start working on it. Permission granted for Aldermen Behm and Metzger to leave the State.
