BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
SEPTEMBER 20, 1999 7:00 P.M.
OLD COUNCIL CHAMBERS
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Bud Johnson
Gay Easton Ken Olson
Chuck Rodgers Mary Embleton
Reviewed, discussed and revised letter to ABS regarding invoice charges.
Reviewed overtime/comp time report for PPE 9-5-99.
Container site hours were discussed in relation to the number of customers served and the time of day
that experiences the most use. The committee expressed their appreciation for the completeness of the
report.
The following purchase requisitions were reviewed and approved:
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND:
5 Gateway workstations
6 monitors ·
1 Dell server
SOLID WASTE FUND:
Dumping fees for August
The preliminary budget was reviewed and discussed.
$ 6,545.00
$ 1,770.00
$ 4,279.00
$ 7,763.07
One revision was made to the General Fund,
Police Department budget. The committee will recommend acceptance of the preliminary budget by
the council at the September 21st meeting.
The committee requested that Mary make a presentation of the budget at the public hearing scheduled
for the October 5th meeting They would like to see visual aids such as charts, graphs, etc.
The next meeting will be held on October 4th at 7:00 p.m. The following meeting will be held on
October 18th at 6:15 p.m. rather than 7:00 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
