Laurel Urban Renewal Agency (LURA)
December 16, 2013 - Laurel Public Library meeting room
Meeting called to order by Chair Judy Goldsby. Attendance: Shirley McDermott, Steve
Zeier, Marcia Hafner, Rich Herr, Linda Frickel, Tim Bronk, Daniel Klein, Heidi Jensen
Introductions were made.
Minutes were approved with correction to December meeting date.
REPORTS:
Steve Zeier submitted written November, 2013 activity reports and discussed his
planning activities.
Heidi Jensen:
Heidi, Monica, Mayor Olson and Judy Goldsby met with the 45 Degrees North
representative to review their draft for Laurel's brand. They recommended modifications
and asked 45 Degrees N. to re- submit. LURA should have a product to review in the
near future.
A meeting will be scheduled with High Plains Architects to review their contract and give
Steve Zeier the opportunity to talk with the architects assigned to the various TA and
Facade improvement projects.
Chris Mehus, Beartooth RC &D has submitted a Master Plan. Funding should be
combined with Big Sky EDA. LURA has not yet seen the Master Plan.
Two applications were submitted:
Covert Cleaning, Inc. Facade Improvement application. Motion was made and seconded
to approve the request. Approved unanimously by the voting board members.
Beartooth Grill Facade Improvement application. Motion was made and seconded to
approve the request. Approved unanimously by the voting board members.
Next meeting is scheduled for January 21s the Tuesday following Martin Luther King
Day (National Holiday) at the Laurel Public Library meeting room. Lunch will be served.
Meeting was adjourned.
