August 6, 1980
A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, was
heid in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Larry D. Herman, at
7:00 p.m., on August 6, 1980, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on
the preliminary budget.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Ehrlick Susan Carter
Duane Behm Terry Fink
Donald Meyers Ervin Metzger
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Harold Burns Bill Brennan
PUBLIC HEARING - 1980/81 PRELIMINARY BUDGET: This being the time and place
advertised, a public hearing was held.
No protests were presented.
A summary of expenses and revenue, by funds, was presented to and
reviewed by the Council.
Motion by Alderman Behm not to adopt the final budget until the difference
of $50i,901.00 between expenses and revenue has been cut, seconded by Alder-
man Meyers. Carried.
The Budget Committee set a meeting for 9:00 a.m., Monday, August llth,
to review budgets with Ken Beven and Dick Metzger to see where more cu~s
can be made.
There being no further business~ome before the Council at this time,
the meeting was adjourned at 7.55---p~.~~.~
