January 8, 1980
A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana,
was held in the Council Chambers and called to order by Mayor Larry D.
Herman, at 7:00 p.m., on January 8, 1980.
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Ehrlick Bill Brennan
Duane Behm Susan Carter
Donald Meyers Terry Fink
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Ervin Metzger Harold Burns
INVOCATION: Invocation given by Reverend Holt.
MINUTES: Minutes of the regular meeting of December 18, 1979, approved
as presented.
CORRESPONDENCE: The Mayor received a letter from the Yellowstone County
Commissioners advising him of a meeting in Billings on January 14, 1980,
regarding the county,wide gas tax~ for road purposes. The Mayor will
attend and he would iike as many aldermen as possible to attend also.

Motion by Alderman Fink to pay claims for December, seconded by
Alderwoman Carter. Carried.
DUANE BEHM - GARBAGE COMMITTEE:
Motion by Alderman Behm to enter the minutes of the meeting on
December 26, 1979, into the record, seconded by Alderman Fink. Carried.
1978-79 AUDIT:
Motion by Alderman Fink to award the 1978-79 audit to Cranston, WDight,
and Albert, P.C., seconded by Alderman Behm. Discussion followed. Motion
carried.
Alderman Ehrlick asked if the ordinance was prepared regarding
residents living outside the city limits and dumping their garbage into
city containers. City Attorney Bradley said he would have it ready by
the next council meeting.
GARBAGE BILLING:
RESOLUTION NO. 1772
THAT GARBAGE BILLING FOR THE YEAR 1980 BE PUT ON THE
MONTHLY WATER BILL AT THE CURRENT RATE
Motion by Alderman Behm that Resolution No. 1772 be passed and
adopted, seconded by Alderman Ehrlick. Carried.
