BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF LAUREL, TO-WIT: CERTAIN BUILDING REQUIREMENTS in al,
R 9., R 3 and R 4, DISTRICTS; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LAUREL:
Section 1. THAT V~IEREAS, the Zoning Board of Adjustment of
the City of Laurel under the date of the 15th of September, 1970, has presented
a report to the City Council wherein it is recommended that changes in the Zoning
Code of the City of Laurel be made, said changes as follows:
That pre-fabricated, modular or preconstructed houses
and outbuildings be allowed to be moved on and into all
residential areas of the City of Laurel, provided the same
be of new construction and otherwise meet the Zoning
requirements, and that restrictions against such move-
ons be deleted from the Code.
Section 2. AND WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel
under date of December 15, 1970, has agreed to hear the recommendations of the
Zoning Board of Adjustment and call a hearing thereon and have set January 5,
1971, at 7:30 P. M. in the City Council Chamber of the City of Laurel for hearing
such report,
Section 3. AND WHEREAS, the City Council has ordered the City
Clerk to give notice of the above-mentioned hearing, and notige having been given
by two publications in the Laurel Outlook, all according to law.
Section 4. And upon said hearing, the City Council having heard
all persons interested, pro and con, and after considering the same, does ordain
as follows:
Section 5. THAT HENCEFORTH, after this date, that prefabricated,
modular or pre-constructed houses and outbuildings shall be allowed to be moved
on and into all residential areas ~f the City of Laurel, provided the same be of
new construction, and otherwise meet the Zoning requirements, and that the
R 1, I{2, R3 and R4 District requirements are to be amended to so provide,
and any restrictions against such move-ons shall be and hereby is deleted.
It is further ordered that such amendment shall not affect any other type of move-
on, nor does it in any way, affect the building or inspection requirements.
Passed and approved by the City Council of the City cf Laurel,
Montana, this 5th day of January, 1971.
