ORDINANCE NO. ~ ky , BEING AN ORDINANCE DISCONTIN-
UING, ABANDONING, AND VACATING A CERTAIN ALLEY IN THE CITY OF
LAUREL, MONTANA.

WHEREAS, on the ~ ~day of November, 1974, a petition
was duly filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Laurel, Montana, by Joe Yack and the State of Montana Highway
Department, praying t_hat an alley in said City of Laurel, Montana
be discontinued, abandoned and vacated by said City:
AND WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing
protests on said petition was duly published in the Laurel Out-
look, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City of Laurel, Montana~ in an issue thereof published on
Wednesday, December 4, 1974, and three copies of said notice
were posted in three public places in said City by order of the
City Council of said City;
AND WHEREAS, in said notice Tuesday, the 17th day of
December, 1974, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. and the City Council
Chamber of the City Hall in the City of Laurel, Montana, were
fixed as the time and place for hearing protests on said petition;
AND Wt~EP~EAS, no protests were made in writing or in
person;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana, finds that said petitioner is the sole owners of all the
property abutting on that portion of said alley to b~ discontin-
ued, abandoned and vacated, and that portion of said alley to be
discontinued, abandoned, and vacated can be discontinued, aban-
doned and vacated without detriment to the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA:
That portion of the alley in Block 2 of the West
Laurel subdivision, and more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the previously dedicated alley from
the west extremity of Lots 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 and
that portion of the previously dedicated alley from the
east extremity of Lots 11, 12, 13~ 14 and 15.
be and the same is hereby discontinued, abandoned and vacated.
