The County of Yello~ztop~. and City o£. Laurel. Civil Defense
Plan is hereby approved. This plan provides for an integrated City-
County or~anizatien for Civil Defense and for operations during periods
of ~mergency, and thereby constitutes the most e£fective and efficient
means of meetin~ the Civil Defe~e ~ds of the City si h~rel
a~..it~cizo~, by mk~gmx~e of the existins aseucins and
ca~bilitieo si local 8~nt within Yello~tone County, sup-
ported by ~lun~eers a~ uon-so~ntal person~l and resources,
to pre~nt or min~lze loss of life and property that could be caused
by 8n~ a~tack or ot~r catastrophe or d~aster af~ectinS the City of

operations of the Clty-C~nty organization for Civil Detense estab-

and directed to t~e, dur~s s~h ~riods o~ E~r~ancy, such actions
ns are r~aso~ble necessary to prevent or ~tze loss of life a=d
property, tn cooperation with said ~erd of C~aty Co~issi~ers and
the Civil Nfme Director ~Yall~e C~nty.
Section
The County CD Director, under policy guidance of the Board of County
Coe~issiours in c~rdinstisn with the Nayor, is' responsible toconduct
th&~ll~tn~ dey.~o.day acttv/tA~s; reco~mending actions; prepa~iu3
budget requests; training; azsipment of personnel; licensing; markinS
and 8t~cking of public shelters; preparation of progrm papers; admini-
stration of CD program; coordination of the program with all depart-
ments; duvelopemnt of CD plan and supporting doc,--~uts for approval
by the Hayer o~ Laurel and C~mF~ftune.~s of Yel~,o~stone
County. The CD Director will act2m'~h.--Tm~ of Stb~f to the executives
of the County and City.
