2 BEING AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE "LIFE SAFETY
CODE," 1976 EDITION AS THE LIFE SAFETY CODE
~ OF THE CITY OF LAUREL.
4 WH~EAS, it is in the public interest and necessity that the City of
§ Laurel adopt a life safety code, and that the National Fire Protection
6 Association, Boston, ~assachusetts, has prepared, published, and adopted
7 the Life Safety Code, 1976 ecLit~ion and said code meets the requirements
8 of the City of Laurel,
9 IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED:
10 A certain docmaent, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office
11 of the city engi~eer~ designated as "Life Safety C~i®," 1976 edition and
12 new editions made thereto, and any amendments, additions, new editions,
13 or modifications ~ads theret% since publication of the bound volume~
14 published and adopted by the National ~ire Protection Association, Boston,
1§ Massachusetts, with ~ertain revisions and~modifications by the said City
16 of Laurel and providing penalties for violation. Ail of the regulations,
17 provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Life Safety Code are
18 hereby ~ade a part of this chapter and/or ordinance as if fully set out
19 herein.
20 Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on April 6, 1977,
21 by Alderman K~ilpatrick.
22 PASSED and APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, this
23 3rd day of May, 1977. This ordinance sh~ll become effective May ~, 1977.
