BEING AN ORDINANCE SETTING UP LOAD LIMITS AND TRUCK ROUTES
FOR THE CITY OF LAUREL,
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL:
THAT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurelfinde that the
safety and well-being of the residents and inhabitants of the City require that
large commercial delivery trucks be restricted to certain routes in and through
said City; and
ACCORDINGLY, IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED:
1. That from and after the passage of this Ordinance all commercial
delivery trucks in excess of two tons, said trucks delivering sand,
gravel, concrete, dirt, rocks, building supplies, furniture, any and all other
commercial products, shall, when delivering within the City of Laurel, use as
the main thoroughfare - First Avenue, north and south, and Eighth Avenue.
2. Any person violating the terms of this Ordinance shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and punished according to the Code of the City of Laurel.
3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its
passage.
