HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 660 ORDINANCE NO. 660 AN ORDINANCE ADDING WASTE CHARACTERISTICS BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel there is hereby added to the Laurel Municipal Code to Section 1B.08.120 the following waste characteristics: E. Wastewater containing more than 25 milligrams per liter of petroleum oil, nonbiodegradabie cutting oils, or product of mineral oil origin. F. Any waters or wastes containing iron, chromium, copper, zinc and similar objectionable or toxic substances to such degree that any such material received in the composite wastewater at the wastewater treatment works exceeds the limits established by the (superintendent) for such materials. G. Any radioactive wastes or isotopes of such halflife or concentration as may exceed limits established by the Isuperint nd~nt~ in compliance with applicable state or federal regulations. N. Any water or wastes which, by interaction with other water or wastes in the public sewer system~ release obnoxious gases, form suspended solids which interfere with the collection system, or create a condition deleteriou~ to structures and treatment processes.
