BUILDING PERMITS REGARDING SUBDIVISIONS

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, the Laurel
Municipal Code Section 15.12.070 is amended as follows:
Section 15.12.070 Building permits regarding subdivisions.
No building permit shall be issued for the construction of any
building, structure, or improvement to the land or any lot within
a subdivision, which has been approved for platting or replatting,
which is located entirely within the city or in part within the
city or:in part within one mile of the nearest limits of the City,
until all requirements of the building ordinances and subdivision
ordinances have been complied with.
No building permit shall be issued for construction of any building,
structure, or improvement to the land, or lot within a subdivision,
which has been approved for platting or replatting, which is located
entimely within the city or in part within one mile or the nearest
limits of the city, until required utility facilities have been in-
stalled and made ready to service the. property, and until roadways
providing access to the subject lot or lots have been constructed
and paved and curb and gutter installed or shall be commenced within
one year from the date of receiving water and sewer services.
Subdivisions having received final approval and filed before
April 5, 1980, are exempt from these provisions, provided that sat-
isfactory waiver of protest of special improvement district for
improvements has been filed and assurances executed for early pave-
ment completion prior to building construction.

C. No occupancy permit shall be granted for the use of any structure
within a subdivision approved for platting or replatting until re-
quired utility facilities have been installed and made ready to
service the property, and until roadways providing access to the
subject lot or tots have been constructed and paved, and curb and
gutter installed, or have waiver filed as setforth in "B" above.
