AMENDING CHAPTER 2.16 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL
CODE, CITY COURT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that
the Laurel Municipal Code Section 2.16.080 be amended to read
as follows:
Section 2.16.080 City Judge. The city judge shall be
qualified in the same manner as are justices of the peace as
provided under Title 3, Chapter 10, Part 2 of the Montana Codes
Annotated.
The presiding officer of the city court shall be the city
judge. If none is elected or appointed by the municipality, the
justice of peace of the township in which the municipality is
situated shall be the city judge.

Passed by the Laurel City Council and approved by the Mayor
