HomeMy WebLinkAboutLaurel Chamber of Commerce (20) Laurel Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting Minutes The Meeting was held on July 18 at Guadalajara. In attendance were: Executive Board Members: President - John Mataisz, VP- Jared Kaiser, Secretary Joanne Flynn and her assistant Marcia Hafner. Directors: Janelle Crowley, Dan Dart, Heidi Jensen, Jennifer Ries, Christy Williams and Altemate Joe Statser. Members: Monica Piecker and Monna Rae Adickes. John called the meeting to order. The minutes were approved: moved to approve - Jared, 2" - Dan. The financial report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve - Janelle, 2n - Christy. Also approved was $400 to go to the Grace Bible Church for managing the vendor parking. Moved by Christy,2' Janelle. NEW BUSINESS • New Members - Camp Gundog- Byrne Manley. • Farmers' Market - We are still looking for a Market Manager. Christy said she could possibly fill in. OLD BUSINESS • Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new. • July 4th - Joanne reported on the results to date. There will be a joint "after the 4 meeting on August 12 at City Hall at 7:00 pm. Christy mentioned it might be nice to get a cell tower on wheels to handle all the phone traffic. Other ideas were brought up. o Run - 46 signed up the day of the run. o Parade - _15 -20 signed up the day of the 4th. o Parking -6 tickets issued, 1 car towed. o No throwing - Lots of concerns. • I Pad - The ipad and printer were purchased for $568, with 50% already refunded. OPEN FORUM • Optimum- Alpha Omega is going with Optimum, so that option is now open to us. It was decided to wait a month to see how it goes with them. Changing our email address to Iaurelchamber laurelmontana.orq was also discussed. We decided to wait until the summer tourist season was over.
