AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF PROPOSED
SECTION 2.04.015 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE
IN ORDER TO CLARIFY THE BALLOT ISSUE CALLED
FOR UNDER SUCH SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL:
That Section 3 of proposed Section 2.04.015 of the Laurel
Municipal Code and its underlying ordinance no. 700 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 3. Submission to electors. This ordinance shall
be submitted to the electors of the City of Laurel at a special
election to be held in and for said City on November 2, 1982,
by printing on the ballot the full title, and the following:
FOR Ordinance No. 700 on conducting all city elections
on a non-partisan basis.
AGAINST Ordinance No. 700 on conducting all city
elections on a non-partisan basis.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
July 20 , 1982, by Alderman Mevers
Passed by the Laurel City Council and approved by the
Mayor this 3rd day of August , 1982.
