HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 701 ORDINANCE NO. 701 BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 11.20. 010 AND 11.20.020 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A PROCEDURE FOR THE APPLICATION FOR AND THE ISSUANCE OF A CITY PERMIT TO ANY PERSON WHO DESII~ES TO USE CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS FOR TRANSPORTING A BUILD- ING OR STRUCTURE THROUGH THE MUNICIPALITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA: That Section 11.20. 010 of the Laurel Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Permit required to move building. No person shall move, re- move or relocate any building or structure within or into the municipal- ity, nor transport by truck any building or structure through the municipal- ity, without first having obtained a moving permit from the municipality. That Section 11.20. 020 of the Laurel Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Application for permit. A. Every application for a permit to move, remove or relocate any building or structure in the municipality, or to transport any building or structure through the municipality, shall be made to the municipal clerk in writing upon forms furnished by the municipality and shall set forth the following information, if pertinent: 1) Address of present location of the structure; 2) Address of new location; 3) Type of construction (frame, masonry, masonry veneer, etc.) -1- 4) Length, width and height of building or structure; 5) SpecLfic route over which the building or structure is to be moved; 6) Type of occupancy (dwelling, garage, office, etc. ) for both old and new location; 7) Proposed moving date and time of day. B. Every application for permit under this section shall include and be accompanied by assurance of full compliance with all State of Montana loads and loading requirements pursuant to the Montana Code Annotated. C. The municipality may require any additional information which it shall find necessary to make a fair determination of whether a permit should issue.
