Board of Trustees August 4, 2005
Attending
Margaret Freund(presiding), Katherine Kucera, Gail Brice, Clare Killebrew, Bruce
McCullough, and Peggy Arnold attended the meeting
Minutes
The minutes of the July 12 meeting were read and approved.
Correspondence
Circulation
Traffic for July 2005 was 1,632 down 15% from July 2004. Circulation for July
2005 was 3,169 down 11% from July 2004.
Old Business
We will go to lunch with Bonnie Latham on September 16. Daniel Baney will start
working on his Eagle Scout Award on Fridays. The summer reading program
prizes will be awarded in September. We will proceed with our "Planning for
Results ". Several individuals will be invited to help organize a 'Friends of the
Library' group in late August 30 at 6:30 p.m. Peggy will try to start using the
circulation system with staff in September. No trustee training has been
scheduled yet. Shirley Olson has agreed to serve on the Laurel Library Trust.
Guitar lessons will resume in September with a Wednesday session and a
Saturday session. Peggy is taking online courses for the virtual reference
project.
New Business
The administrative assistant will begin his duties on August 22 "d . The library will
be closed on September 2 and winter hours will begin after that.
