Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on June 6 at Emma's. In attendance were: Executive Board Members: President - John Mataisz,
VP Jared Kaiser, Co-VP Angela Hughs and Secretary Joanne Flynn. Directors: Dan Dart, Ed Madrid, Christy Williams,
Michelle DeBoer, Heidi Jenson, - Members: Ruben Delzer, and guest, Monika ? ? ??
John called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve - Ed, 2nd - Jared.
The finandal report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve - Angela. 2n - Jared.
NEW BUSINESS
o New Members -None reported
o Grant Insurance - Joanne explained that after the email votes were in that the additional amount
needed to comply with obtaining the grant was approved. 9 Yea's!
o July 4 -
o Soonsorshia of "Rock the Block" Joanne informed group that Dean had ask her to send out
invitations for sponsorships (done) and there was discussion about the Chamber also doing a
sponsorship. Dan suggested we find out if they have event Insurance before committing. Heidi
said the city signed their approval and would not have done so if there was no proof of
insurance. Christie made a motion to do a Bronze sponsorship with Dan as the 2 nd. Passed!
OLD BUSINESS
o July 4t -
o Letter to Businesses and Residents delivered and all with positive responses
o No Parking Signs- Best price- Office Depot at .35 cents per - bright color, black print.
Phil will put them on wood or heavy cardboard and will use plastic ties to hold them on trees,
posts and cones that we can get from CHS.
o Clean -up of Vender Area - Joanne told group that she felt it was a liability issue to hire a
group of kids to help with the clean up because of some horror stories of what is being found.
She suggested we offer to make a donation to the city to clean up our vendor areas.
Heidi said to call and talk to Kurt. DO THIS
o Volunteers needed -
Group to hand out water - Angela suggested that we get donations from businesses for bottled
water to have at the end of the race. Yellowstone Bank accepted our request and has since donated 288
bottles. We need to find large containers for ice. We need a group to hand out water on the route.
(6:45am till 8:45am) Contribution to group of $150.00 Several suggestions were made - however after
the meeting Jared said that he has the LHS golf team lined up. Thanks Jared. Also Thanks to Angela
who volunteered to announce the Run Winner and Awards. John will once again set up the water stand
for the Run. Thanks John. Need Containers for ice.
o "No Parking Signs" Need 4 people to put up signs on June 28 and take down after parade.
Thanks to Dan Dart and family who will help on Friday morning June 28 Phil will put
them on wood or heavy cardboard and will use plastic ties to hold them on trees, posts and
cones that we can get from CHS.
o Parade entries pick -uo - Need 3 people to help at Caboose - 9:45 till 11:00- Again Thanks to
Dan Dart who volunteered himself and his wife.
Mark out vender areas - 3 people to help on morning of July 3td to. Jared volunteered Jim
and himself to help- need 2 more. - Thanks Jim and Jared
o Judges for parade We need 7 people. Fun Job!
o Vendor Parking Joanne announced that she received a call from Vince Ricci who stated that
we can have his lot for vendor parking after all. Thanks Vince. Find Group for this.

✓ NO Parking signs Printed Office Depot - 50 Signs Cost, $19.00 w/ discount $7.50
✓ Placement of signs -Stand Up Cones from CHS.
