HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 711r i ,~ • _ ORDINANCE N0. 711 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PORTIONS OF SOUTH 7th AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LAUREL TO ALL UNAUTHORIZED PEDESTRIAN OR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that there is hereby added a section 10.54, Closed Streets, to the Laurel Municipal Code as follows: 10.54.010 The following portions of the public streets of the City of Laurel are hereby closed to all unauthorized pedestrian or vehicular traffic: ~ South 7th Avenue from the alleys in Blocks 2 and 3, to South 1st Street, and namely South 1st Street from South 8th Avenue between Blocks 3 and 4, to the alley in Block 2, West Laurel Subdivision, Laurel, Yellow- stone County, Montana. 10.54.020 There shall be placed at the entrances and exits to such closed portions of streets appropriate signs indicating that no unauthorized pedestrian or vehicular traffic is allowed. 10.54.030 Penalty. Any person violating a provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as set forth in Section 1.16.020. ~ Power of municipality to prohibit traffic on streets, side- walks and public grounds.
