To whom it may concern,
CITY OF _ PU L
Hello my name is Bethany Welch and I am a Kindergarten and first grade aged Girl Scout Leader here in
Laurel. At this age group the girls are called Daisies and the way we teach our girls is through a garden
themed journey. One of the badges that they earn is The Flower Garden Award Patch and they earn this
by planting a flower garden. Girl Scouts is based around community and worldwide accomplishments
and what better way to give back to the community then by planting a Flower Garden for all to enjoy ®.
I have been in contact with City Officials in your office and am writing this letter to better explain how
we will maintain the garden if you are kind enough to allow us to have our Flower Garden there. As the
troop leader I can come and dig up any rocks and old soil you need removed and will also provide new
soil and flowers to be planted. The girls would come as a group to plant the flowers in the beginning of
June and we will have Myself, my co- leader and most likely all six of the other girls mothers. I as the
troop leader will come through -out the summer and water the flowers and pull weeds as needed. As we
enter into a new summer season next year we can determine then if you were satisfied with the garden
and the upkeep and begin a new agreement at that time.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration and hope to be hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Bethany Welch Troop 2086
