AMENDING SECTION 17.12.060, POWERS--VARIANCE
AUTHORITY, OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Laurel, that
Section 17.12.060 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
A. no change
B. no change
C. To authorize upon appeal in specific cases, not including
or involving requests for changes in land use under the
zoning district in which the property lies, such variances
from the terms of the ordinance as will not be contrary
to the public interest, where, owing to special conditions,
a literal enforcement of the provisions of the ordinance
or regulation will result in unnecessary hardship, and so
that the spirit of the Ordinance shall be observed and
substantial justice done.
Ail other ordinances which may be in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty {30) days
after final passage.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council on
June 7 , 1983, by Alderman Brennan
PASSED by the Laurel City Council and APPROVED by the
Mayor this 21st day of June , 1983.
