Minutes
Minutes for Ocotber 2012 were presented, read, and approved.
Correspondence
A donation in the amount of $10.00 was received from the PEO Sisterhood in memory of Jan
Stingley.
Circulation Report
Traffic: down 10.84 %; circulation: all items circulated totaled 3,027 (including eBooks),
book circulation was down 12.04 %, media circulation was up 7.6 %, eBook checkouts for
this month was 94, 4% of total book circulation; computers: internet use was up 11.81%,
children's use was down 8.7 %, wi -fi use down 22.86 %; patron cards: City patrons made
up 75.8% of registered users; County patrons totaled 12.3% and NonRes patrons totaled
11.8% of users.
Old Business
Nathan stated that he and Michelle Lamed would be getting together to fill out the final
paperwork to qualify the foundation as a 501 (cX3) under Federal guidelines.
The book sale was held November 1, 2 & 3, 2012. The amount raised was $670.85.
Dixie and Alan attended the Trustee Training in Billings on October 20 They will report next
month on the training topics.
New Business
The Federation Coordinator position was discussed briefly. Nancy will contact Kate Lewis in Big
Timber to ask about amount of time and effort involved in being the Coordinator. Bruce
suggested that Nancy discuss the issue with Heidi Jensen. More discussion will follow next
month.
Nancy presented a Growth Management Plan for the library. There wasn't any dissention
concerning the plan so Nancy will pass it on to City Planner Monica Plecker.
Library staff has requested that the library be closed on Saturday, November 24 following the
Thanksgiving holiday. After discussion, it was decided that the library would not close but stay
open since all staff but Nancy had the Friday off after Thanksgiving.
