COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: Mike Zuhoski Jan Faught Jim Stevens Dirk Kroll Norman Orr Charlie Pratt OTHERS PRESENT: Gary Temple Ambulance Jan reported that bids will be opened for the ambulance and a couficil member is needed for the bid opening. Norman On' stated that he has the time for this. Jan also reported on taking classes in November to become a training coordinator to start our own classes in January. Police Mike reported that the bids have gone out for the new patrol car and we are looking at a Crown Victoria. New officer applications will be accepted from November 5th to November 22nd, so we should have a report to the committee by the next meeting. DUI Task Force is bringing in a motivational speaker to talk to students on January 25th and the sessions will be held at the Metra. Deaconess Foundation will pick up the cost for the rent of MetraPark and will have three sessions. Sessions will be held in the morning and afternoon for the kids, and one session will be held in the evening for adults. KTVQ and the U.S. Attorney's Office is also involved. Fire Department Jim reported on the alcoholic beverage problem and stated that the company president will be contacted. He will meet with the company and subcommittee to bring back a proposal or resolution for the committee to consider. Jim also thanked the Ambulance crew and Police Department for their help in a trailer house fire. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted,
