It is being held on Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Downtown Helena. This year promises to be another high-spirited and exciting weekend with many new t~aturcs. This year's event will include special guests Olympic gold medalist Frank Shorter and Olympic hopeful Jonathan Matthews. There will be an Olympic tour, "Caring for the Human Spirit," that is making a two-day visit to the Queen City. The "Caring for the Human Spirit" tour will include five decathlon events, a health fair, and authentic Olympic memorabilia. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Olympic tour will begin at noon on Friday. We are pleased to announce the return of the Mayors Friday event. This years event is entitled Mayor McCarthy's Millennium Challenge. We arc inviting business people, candidates, and elected officers to join us at the Olympic tour site and participate in different Olympic events. All participants will be assigned to a five- person team and designated to a specific activity. Each team will be rated on time, actual score, and positive attitude. The winning teams will receive unique prizes. It is our hope that the Mayor McCarthy's Millennium Challenge will be a casual and fun event that promotes friends, fitness, and fun.
